The economy of the future –
Do we realize that all the big corporations are getting
bigger and bigger by eating up smaller companies? We will soon all have our
entire lives dictated by only a very few large organizations and our choices
will become limited and expensive.
What built this country was the entrepreneur who took a
chance and started offering a product or a service to their local geographic area,
creating a local commerce system that was unbeatable. Then as some of those businesses grew, they
had to start thinking about increasing sales and cutting costs (which could include
employees too) and one way to do that was to buy out a smaller business which
would increase yours.
Once small entrepreneurial businesses started growing then groups
and associations such as Chamber of Commerce popped up all over the place which
allowed businesses to band together in a geographic area offering benefits to
each other to increase their sales and discuss marketing strategies and
techniques they all could benefit from. This was great! If small businesses
pooled their resources and their needs they could save money – what a great
idea! These organizations and associations have grown rapidly and are very
active today.
Then Social Media came on line…. And we now have communities
and friends all across the world. Instead
of “local” being geography, “local” is now how you are connected to others
through common interests and common goals.
You create your own “local” economy by the people and businesses you
support that you now have access to. It could be a local meat store 1000 miles
from here, it could be a 2nd hand book store in Australia, you know
have the ability to virtually shop and see stores the world over without
leaving home. The ability to search worldwide for what we want to consume is
fantastic! All because of this little thing
called the internet! Our “local” area
just expanded exponentially.
With this new knowledge and technology we have the resources
available that we need to create an entirely new economy.
Business starts when a person who has a skill or a trade
that they are passionate about and are talented at decides to offer products or
services to their friends for a profit – but remember those friends and
acquaintances are now ALL over the world, not just people they live next
to. Everyone’s potential customers and
clients now expanded as well. If you now could sell your products or services
anywhere in the world, why would you limit yourself to only your geographic
area?
To create this new economy we need to have a LOT of
entrepreneurs that all have the ability to offer millions of products and
services all over the world – BUT we need to have the ability for everyone to
be compensated for everyone else’s sales too! Why not? Impossible you say? …..
Nope…..
It’s possible, I’m doing it – and I would love to show you
how you can do it too.
