Integrity and Committment
Wow - what an interesting week last week and weekend I have had! So many different things have happened that has made me question my sanity - then question other peoples sanity as well.
Hmmm --- let me ask you all something - what does integrity mean to you? Respond to this blog and let me know - to me, integrity is doing the right thing, integrity is respecting YOURSELF and being true to yourself. One motto I have tried very hard to live by is "YOU ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR WORD".... do you feel that way too? If you make a commitment do you follow through? I have had three very different experiences that has really made me question what this world is becoming. Three different experiences with three different people and three different ways of not fulfilling some obligation or commitment. Wow... I'm still just blown away by this. I guess I should let it go and move on... and I will soon, but I'm still just shaking my head!
I'm struck by how so many people have a different view of integrity - I know this by their actions, not their words. Actions do speak louder right? You can preach about things, you can state your opinions on topics, but what you DO (or not) is what speaks volumes about YOU as a person.
I'm just confused... I'm disappointed and I've decided that I need to reflect on my life and who I allow in it.
What do you think?
